Jay Phelps

Jay Phelps is a Canadian-born trumpeter, composer, band leader, educator, and writer whose instantly recognisable warm and projecting tone has made him a household name in the UK jazz scene and beyond.

With a career spanning over 20 years, Phelps has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Amy Winehouse, Wynton Marsalis, Shabaka Hutchings, and Wizkid to name a few.

Known for his charismatic energy, he has also hosted radio shows for Jazz FM and Worldwide FM and created the YouTube documentary series Ear to the Ground.

This summer, Phelps released The Now, his seventh album, further solidifying his international presence in the jazz world.

Ruby Francis

Hailing from North London, Ruby Francis is a versatile singer songwriter, known for her distinctive blend of sounds that draw from 70’s soul, 90’s/00’s R&B, and influences like Chaka Khan, Astrud Gilberto, and The Neptunes.

Her talents have earned international acclaim, particularly in Japan, where she released her debut album under the Japanese label Sweet Soul.

Her EPs, Night Time Therapy and To Be Fair received support from BBC Radio's Tom Robinson and Jamie Cullum and has been a favourite of BBC Introducing, leading to a performance on the BBC Introducing Stage in 2018, shortly after opening for the legendary Roy Ayers at a sold-out show at the Jazz Cafe in Camden.

Camilla George

Camilla George is a celebrated Nigerian saxophonist, composer, and bandleader, renowned for her innovative fusion of African and Western music. Born in Eket, Nigeria, Camilla's passion for music was ignited early, leading her to pursue a Master’s in Jazz Performance at Trinity College of Music, where she was honored with The Archer Scholarship for Outstanding Performance in 2011.

Camilla's music career took a significant leap when she joined the award-winning band Jazz Jamaica in 2009, performing alongside legends like Ernest Ranglin at Ronnie Scott’s jazz club.

Dubbed “The Golden Girl of Jazz” by The Evening Standard, Camilla has performed at major venues and festivals including The Barbican, Love Supreme, and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. Camilla's accolades include nominations for the MOBO award for Jazz Performance with Jazz Jamaica, multiple Urban Music Awards for Best Jazz Artist, and a Jazz FM award nomination for Best Instrumentalist in 2019.

Nicola Guida 


Piano

Italian-born and London-based, pianist, composer, and producer Nicola Guida is recognised as one of the most talented emerging jazz artists of his generation.

A multi-award winner, his distinctive approach to the piano has led to performances at prestigious venues and festivals, including Umbria Jazz and Roma Jazz Festival, and collaborations with renowned musicians such as Greg Osby, Lee Pearson, and Alita Moses.

Harry Ling

Labelled as "one of the London jazz scene’s rising stars,” drummer and producer Harry Ling, also known as Mackwood, is best known for his work with artists like Col3trane and ELIZA and collaborations with top jazz musicians such as Kokoroko, Yussef Dayes, and Louis Cole.

With a passion for progressive jazz, Mackwood seamlessly blends the best of UK and international jazz with London’s vibrant player/producer scene.

Mikele Montolli

Bass


Mikele Montolli, an Italian double bassist and composer, began playing the violin at age seven before switching to electric bass and later classical double bass at Verona's Conservatory.

After graduating in Jazz Double Bass from Graz in 2009 under Wayne Darling, he moved to London in 2010.

Montolli has since toured internationally and performed with notable artists like Sun Ra Arkestra, Knoel Scott, and Don Menza. He also contributes to soundtracks and regularly appears on the BBC.
